Nigerian Writer Adichie Featured In A Book Aoongside 200 Women

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a prolific Nigerian writer of novels, short stories, and nonfiction. She’s definitely attracting global attention to African literature and also known as a feminist.

Chimmamanda Adichie was listed alongside Roxane Gay, Margaret Atwood, Ashley Juddy and more pioneering women are celebrated in the new book 200 Women. The 395-page tome features photographs by Kieran Scott alongside interviews in which each woman answers the same five questions:
What really matters to you?
What brings you happiness?
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
What would you change if you could?
And which single word do you most identify with?

A new photography book aims a spotlight on the most inspiring, active, and intelligent women in the world. Geoff Blackwell and Ruth Hobday’s 200 Women: Who Will Change the Way You See the World contains insightful interviews with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Jane Goodall, Alfre Woodard, and 197 other great women, presented alongside stunning portraits from photographer Kieran E. Scott. Bustle describes the book as ‘The coffee table book that will inform your activism in the days ahead”. Bustle has a peek inside 200 Women.

In a sneak peek interview with some of the women listed in the book by Bunsen, our very own Chimamanda Adiche had this to say to these questions:

Which single word do you most identify with?
Human.
What would you change if you could?

I can’t pick just one thing; I would eliminate all forms of gender, racial and religious injustice. The issues are their own, independent issues, but they cannot be analysed in isolation from one another. It’s very complex and is always a work in progress for me — the issues are connected and they are not, but, however strong their connection to one another is, they’ve got to go!
